Newark Public Information Center Held

The New Jersey Turnpike Authority held the first in-person Public Information Center for the first project of the Newark Bay-Hudson County Extension Improvements Program. The Public Information Center took place on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, in the East Side High School gymnasium from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The event followed the format of an open house and included remarks by Councilman Michael Silva, Newark Business Administrator Eric Pennington, a presentation, and opportunities for residents to ask questions and speak one-on-one with Turnpike Authority officials and members of the Program team. There were information stations around the room so that residents could learn more about the first project, the reconstruction between Interchanges 14 and 14A, and its benefits and opportunities.
