Public Involvement
Building Together

Our goal is equitable infrastructure development that benefits communities.
Public involvement is a priority for this Program
Public involvement will be ongoing throughout this entire critical modernization and safety Program. We will continue meeting with stakeholders and community organizations as well as hosting in-person and virtual Public Information Centers (PIC), Public Hearings, and community meetings.

Accessibility, Equity, and Inclusivity
The communities surrounding the Newark Bay-Hudson County Extension are some of the most diverse in the nation with multiple languages spoken. Inclusive and equitable outreach is a top priority of this modernization and safety Program. To this end, all of our Public Information Centers (PIC) and Public Hearings will include local interpreters. In addition, the Fact Sheets for the Program and first project are available in multiple languages. This website also translates into multiple languages using the drop-down feature in the upper right corner.
This Program is also committed to benefiting the economies of the surrounding communities by hiring local residents and partnering with small businesses. To learn more, visit our Opportunities page.
