Project 1 - Interchanges 14 to 14A
Project 2 - Interchanges 14A to 14B
Project 3 - Interchanges 14B to Columbus Dr.
Project 4 - Columbus Dr. to Jersey Ave.
Did You Know?
During the past five years, there has not been a single month without a lane or shoulder closure due to repair work.
Because the Extension is at the end of its service life, it is constantly undergoing repair work and temporary lane closures, which are causing major delays, high costs, and the re-routing of drivers through residential areas. Rebuilding the Extension will eliminate the need for constant work and closures, thereby relieving traffic congestion and ensuring its safety and sustainability.
Annual precipitation in New Jersey is expected to nearly triple by 2050.
The Program will include modern stormwater treatment systems and detention basins to better manage the stormwater that runs off the Extension into the combined sewer systems, reducing local flooding and the levels of pollutants found in stormwater runoff.
