Our Ongoing Environmental Commitment
As part of our commitment to environmental responsibility and transparency, this page is dedicated to providing easy access to environmental documents such as the U.S. Coast Guard’s Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI), National Environmental Policy Act Environmental Assessment (NEPA EA) and Adaptive Management Plan, and New Jersey Executive Order 215 Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). We’re proud to announce that the U.S. Coast Guard Issued a Finding of No Significant Impact for the first project, the reconstruction between Interchange 14 and Interchange 14A.

The NEPA EA confirms that the first project will relieve congestion between Interchanges 14 and 14A and maintain or improve community and environmental quality.

NEPA EAThis document, dated April 18, 2025, is the Final Environmental Assessment prepared under the National Environmental Policy Act. The Final EA has been updated in response to comments received on the Draft EA, which was issued on May 9, 2024. The U.S. Coast Guard issued a Finding of No Significant Impact on May 7, 2025, based on this Final EA.

Adaptive Management Plan
The Adaptive Management Plan is part of the EA. It outlines specific measures that will be undertaken by the Turnpike Authority to continue our outreach efforts to keep the community informed about upcoming construction activities. It also details how we will proactively monitor air, noise, and vibration in areas proximate to construction activities.
NJ EO 215 EIS
This document, dated April 18, 2025, is the Final Environmental Impact Statement prepared under New Jersey Executive Order 215. Based on the analysis contained in this document, there are no impacts of the proposed improvements between Interchanges 14 and 14A which cannot be reduced to acceptable levels. A draft of this document was submitted to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) on April 20, 2023. The document supported the NJDEP’s decision-making in issuing a permit to the Authority for the Proposed Project on April 3, 2024.
