Our Ongoing Environmental Commitment
As part of our commitment to environmental responsibility and transparency, this page is dedicated to providing easy access to environmental documents such as the draft New Jersey Executive Order 215 Environmental Impact Statement and the draft National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Environmental Assessment. Draft NEPA Environmental Assessment
The draft NEPA EA confirms the findings of the draft NJ Executive Order 215 EIS. The first project will relieve congestion between Interchanges 14 and 14A and maintain or improve community and environmental quality.

Draft EA 14 to 14AThis document dated May 7, 2024, was submitted to the U.S. Coast Guard on May 9, 2024. Based upon coordination with United States Coast Guard for issuance of the Public Notice, the Draft EA has been updated with respect to the February 2024 Public Information Center in Newark, addition of a Mitigation Summary Matrix, use of the latest US Environmental Protection Agency air quality models, and issuance of the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection permit.
Draft NJ EO 215 Environmental Impact Study
The NJ Executive Order 215 EIS for the first project, the reconstruction between Interchange 14 in Newark and Interchange 14A in Bayonne and Jersey City, finds that this project will relieve congestion between Interchanges 14 and 14A and maintain or improve community and environmental quality.
